Interior architect
Interior architect: a discipline combining creation, technique and harmony
The interior architect's job involves designing, structuring, and transforming interior spaces, combining aesthetics, functionality, and well-being. At the intersection of architecture and design, this role requires a keen understanding of volumes, light, materials, and everyday uses.
At MAR Interior Design, this vision guides my approach, even though I don't hold the title of interior architect in the regulated sense. I'm Lydwine Martin, Interior Designer and Traditional Feng Shui Consultant, and I draw inspiration from the principles of interior design and Feng Shui to create balanced, tailor-made, and meaningful living spaces.
A global vision of the interior space
My work is structured around three fundamental axes:
-
Optimizing volumes: rethinking circulation, opening up perspectives, restructuring living areas without modifying the supporting structure.
-
Interior design: designing tailor-made modules, playing with materials, colors, furniture and light to reveal the potential of each room.
-
Energy harmonization: thanks to my expertise in Traditional Feng Shui, I integrate ancestral principles that help promote balance, well-being and fluidity in spaces.
Why talk about “interior architect”?
The term "interior architect" is now used broadly to refer to professionals who reinvent spaces. Although I don't have a state diploma in interior architecture, my profession naturally resembles this discipline in its methodology, its demanding nature, and its creative scope.
As an interior designer with a passion for design, I create complete projects, from the layout plan to the decorative choices, including project management. All while always respecting the legal limits of my scope of work.
