I am Lydwine Martin, founder of MAR Interior Design, an interior design studio based in Marseille, working with French and international clients who live, invest in, or enhance exceptional properties on the French Riviera.

I support private clients, homeowners, real estate investors, agencies and high-end hospitality professionals in the creation of elegant, coherent interiors, deeply aligned with the way each space is intended to be lived in, experienced or valued.

My approach is based on a simple conviction: a successful interior is not only beautiful. It must be fluid, balanced, functional, desirable and perfectly aligned with a lifestyle, an image or a property strategy.

Whether it is a main residence, a holiday home, a pied-à-terre, a property prepared for sale or a high-end rental project, every space is designed to reveal its full potential.

A journey between London, Dubai and Marseille

My eye has been shaped by an international journey between London, Dubai and Marseille, at the crossroads of creativity, communication, image and project coordination.

These experiences taught me to observe spaces differently: to understand what they express, what they tell, what enhances them and what, sometimes, weakens them.

In London, I was influenced by a strong sense of style, confident elegance, visual culture and the ability to mix inspirations with personality.

In Dubai, I discovered another relationship to luxury — sometimes spectacular, sometimes excessive. This experience strengthened my own vision of elegance: a more subtle one, which does not seek to impress, but to create presence, atmosphere and a sense of quiet evidence.

In Marseille and on the French Riviera, I reconnect with what deeply nourishes my design universe: light, natural materials, contrasts, the sea, pale stone, shadows, simple volumes and the imperfect beauty of places with soul.

A quiet luxury, Mediterranean and timeless aesthetic

I love interiors that breathe.

Bright, fluid, warm spaces where every element has its place. Natural materials, mineral tones, wood, fibres, matte textures and carefully selected pieces. Interiors that express calm, restraint and depth.

My taste naturally leans towards discreet elegance, never demonstrative. A silent form of luxury, closer to balance than accumulation.

To me, true refinement is not found in excess. It is felt through proportions, light, circulation, material quality, overall coherence and that immediate impression that a place simply “works”.

This is the approach I bring to every project: creating interiors that are beautiful, liveable, timeless and emotionally right.

 

A clear, structured and demanding method

My role is not only to choose colours or furniture.

I step in to provide a clear direction, structure decisions and prevent costly mistakes, especially when clients are buying, renovating, selling or renting out a high-end property.

Each project is analysed as a whole: volumes, circulation, light, materials, uses, technical constraints, atmosphere, perception and property value.

I work with method, transparency and attention to detail. My objective is to help my clients visualise their project clearly, make the right decisions and transform their interiors with confidence.

Every choice is intentional.
Every detail contributes to the overall balance.
Every space must serve a vision.

A refined reading of spaces, enriched by Traditional Feng Shui

Trained in interior design, I have also chosen to enrich my approach with a qualification in Traditional Feng Shui.

I approach it with rigour, far from decorative or symbolic clichés. For me, it is a complementary way of reading a place: a method that helps refine the understanding of circulation, orientation, balance and the felt quality of a space.

When relevant, this expertise strengthens the project by adding a more sensitive, deeper and more aligned dimension.

An interior should not only seduce at first glance. It should also support daily life, well-being, personal projects and the energy of those who inhabit it.
