Feng Shui is a millenary practice that allows you to harmonize spaces to promote well-being and abundance. Every year, usually around February 4 or 5 - during the Chinese New Year - the energies change, and with them, the "flying stars" that influence the sectors of your home.

In 2025, these influences will be crucial to optimally arrange your interior. Discover the meaning of each flying star and how to integrate them into your daily life to attract prosperity, health and harmony.

What are flying stars?

Flying stars are based on a complex "mathematical" technique in Feng Shui. This technique called "Xuan Kong Fei Xing" will analyze the Qi of a home according to space-time and divide your home into nine sectors. Each sector will have a star that will bring various influences. Here is the meaning of the stars in each sector for 2025.

South Sector: Star 6 (Star of Heavenly Luck)

Star 6 is related to METAL. It brings opportunities for success and recognition, especially in career and professional projects. It is the star of celestial luck, promoting luck and authority. To maximize its effects, you can place metal objects or a fountain in this sector.

East Sector: Star 9 (Star of Success)

Star 9 is associated with FIRE. It symbolizes success, spirituality, beauty, joy, luck especially in reputation and public affairs. It can also bring new opportunities. To encourage this energy, you can use red colors and fire-related elements in this area, or even a fountain that will energize its energy. This is by far the most positive star of the period, since we are currently in period 9 until 2044! (this will be the subject of another article :-)) However, the benefits of Star 9 will unfortunately be cancelled this year, as the annual affliction of the “3 Massacres” (San Sha) lies to the East in 2025.

Northwest Sector: Star 3 (Star of Conflict)

Star 3 is represented by WOOD. It is generally associated with conflicts, arguments and misunderstandings. This energy can disrupt family harmony. It is advisable to limit wooden objects in this sector and instead introduce metallic elements or soothing symbols to counteract the effect of this star.

North Sector: Star 7 (Star of Conflict and Loss)

Star 7 is associated with the METAL element and is often linked to negative energies such as violence, injuries, theft and conflict. To reduce the impact of this harmful energy, it is recommended to avoid adding metal objects in this area, as this could strengthen these influences. Instead, favor shapes and materials related to water, such as wavy shapes, mirrors or glass, in order to neutralize the aggressiveness of this star. However, in 2025, this star will have a less powerful impact than usual, because the North, its sector of influence, is associated with the WATER element. Good news!

Northeast Sector: Star 5 (Star of Misfortune)

Star 5 is related to EARTH. It is the most unfavorable star, often associated with illness, accidents and bad luck. In this sector, it is important to avoid earthy colors (yellow, beige, ochre). The best remedy would be to limit your presence in this sector, but if this is not possible, use metal objects to counteract it. A salt cure can also help to alleviate its negative influence.

West Sector: Star 4 (Star of studies and love)

Star 4 is represented by WOOD. It is a favorable star for studies and romance, also bringing opportunities for personal enrichment. Place wooden objects and natural elements in this sector to encourage its positive energy. If you can, do not hesitate to set up an office in this sector in 2025.

Center Sector: Star 2 (Star of Disease)

Star 2 is related to the EARTH element. Therefore, it is associated with areas such as agriculture, real estate, architecture but also health (through our diet). It can bring challenges, small illnesses (abdominal pain) but it also offers possibilities for healing and prosperity. Use metal elements (metal furniture, sculptures or vases) to counter the negative impact of this star.

Southwest Sector: Star 8 (Star of Prosperity)

Star 8 is associated with EARTH. It is the star of prosperity, wealth and stability. It promotes finances and business opportunities. To amplify this energy, introduce earthen items (pottery, ceramics), earthy colors and crystals into this sector.

South-East Sector: Star 1 (Star of Success)

Star 1 is linked to WATER. It represents success, wisdom, luck and harmony. It is particularly beneficial for love and personal relationships. It can also promote meetings with mentors and people who will support your projects. To optimize this energy, favor objects associated with water, such as fountains or aquariums, wavy shapes, glass materials, mirrors, or even shades of blue.

How to adjust your interior according to the flying stars?

  • Avoid unfavorable colors and elements in sectors influenced by negative stars, especially those related to their base element, as well as fountains, which risk "awakening" these energies. On the contrary, bring appropriate remedies to neutralize these harmful stars, such as the use of metal for a star associated with Earth, in order to mitigate its impact.

  • Promote the appropriate elements : To maximize positive energies, it is essential to add elements related to each star. For example, for Star 9 (Success), use bright colors in shades of red, triangle-shaped objects (which represent fire), burn a candle, incense or place a fountain to energize its energy and promote your success.

In summary...

Understanding the flying stars and their annual influence can transform the energy of your home. In 2025, each sector will require special attention to promote good influences and reduce negative effects. Adapt your space according to these energies for a balanced, prosperous and harmonious environment.
