The great misunderstanding surrounding blue...

Do you like blue but are afraid it will make your home feel cold?
Blue doesn't make an interior feel cold. What makes it cold is a poorly chosen and poorly paired shade of blue. Gray, deep, or muted tones absorb light and create depth, whereas overly pure or saturated blues make the space feel smaller.

For blue to become elegant, it needs to be surrounded by warmth, so wood, linen, leather, and warm-toned metals are ideal. On its own, it can seem cold. But when paired well, it envelops and structures the space.
Light is crucial: poorly lit, a blue appears dull; well lit, it reveals its full richness and impact. Avoid painting haphazardly: a framed wall, wood paneling, a bookcase, or a wall behind a bed or sofa enhances the space while providing balance and clarity.
In interior design, the problem is almost never the color. It's the strategy.
Blue is not a color to be feared. When used well, it structures, soothes, and enhances an interior. 💙
